What actually goes into a brand collaboration — from first email to final post. Here's a look behind the curtain.
The first email
It usually starts with a DM or an email from a brand. Sometimes it's an agency reaching out on their behalf. The first conversation is about whether we're a good fit — do I actually like the product? Would my audience care about it?
Negotiating
This is the part nobody sees. Figuring out deliverables, timelines, usage rights, and fair pay. It's okay to say no. It's okay to negotiate. Not every deal is worth it.
Creating the content
The best brand deals give you creative freedom. I'll script a rough idea, film it, and make sure it feels like my content — not a commercial. If it doesn't feel authentic, the audience will know.
Going live
Once the brand approves, it goes up. Then it's about watching the comments, engaging with the audience, and making sure the partnership actually landed well.
Brand deals can be amazing when they're done right — when both sides respect the creator's voice and the audience's trust.
